Tuesday the 12th

Philippians: 3 1-2

1If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, 2then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose.

If you even have an inkling of what it is like to walk with Christ, it will change your life. That is what Paul is telling the people. If you even kind get it, please be like minded, love, and be one in spirit…….So does that mean that all of the people who go to church every Sunday, yet spit venom, and incite strife and struggle all the rest of the week are lost? I hate to say it but, yes, yes they are. It is our job to make sure that first we do not allow ourselves to become like that. This is why Paul calls for us to love, and be one in spirit and purpose. It will keep us unified instead of tearing us apart. Yet we need that cohesive bond between us so that we might not forget about those in the church that are lost. Church….or life is not about going around patting each other on the back and telling each other what a great job they are doing. Liars, love liars, thieves love thieves. It is easy for the Christian to love the fellow Christian. It is our duty though to love the lost, to love the sinner (are we all not sinners). This is why we need to be united in purpose, love, and mind. We work in the name of the Lord, through Him all things are possible, in him we all find purpose.

Peace,

Brian
