not just the young

1 Timothy 4: 12

12Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.

This scripture is often quoted to young adults, but why does it seem to stop there? We are all young to someone. We all have people looking at our examples that we set. SO no matter your age, don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young. There will always be someone close by to tell you that they have already done it before……and you are not doing it right, or it did not work, or it can’t be done. People who discourage lean heavily on the word can’t in life. They will use their experience as a tool to make you doubt yourself. Do not give these people an inch! When you live your life setting examples as Paul has set forth, there is little doubt that the Lord will be directing your steps. What is a can’t for society, is a “watch this”  to the Lord! Let your life be an example of a life lived through faith, do not let others look down on you, show them the way. They might gather around and tell you it can’t be done…….let them know that you are a child of the most high God, there is nothing that cannot be done through the glory, the grace, and the power of God!

Peace,

Brian
