1 Timothy 4: 10
10(and for this we labor and strive), that we have put our hope in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, and especially of those who believe.
We put our hope, and our faith in the living God, but the second part of this passage is one that many of us miss, and one that many of us need to hear. “who is the savior of all men” Every person alive has the ability to be saved, and that is what we put our faith in, not just faith in our own salvation, but the faith that all people can be saved. Paul tells us in 3 John “11Dear friend, do not imitate what is evil but what is good. Anyone who does what is good is from God. Anyone who does what is evil has not seen God.” Notice how he does not call all who do evil, evil? He simply states that they have not seen God. There is hope for all, especially those who believe, but let us not forget that each one of us is worthy of that hope, each one of us, every man, woman, and child, is created in His image. If you think there is no hope for yourself, you are wrong, there is an abundance of hope, if you think we are in a select group, you are wrong, there is hope for all, and it is our job to spread that good news, and offer the love of Christ to all.
Peace,
Brian
